India vs England Test series 2024: Full squad list for first two Test matches

22-year-old Dhruv Jurel earned his maiden call-up as a backup wicketkeeping option as BCCI announced India's squad for the first two Tests England.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named a 16-man squad for the first two Tests against England, which begin on January 25. 22-year-old Dhruv Jurel received his first call-up as a backup wicketkeeper, as Ishan Kishan, who had reportedly taken a break from cricket due to mental fatigue, was not named.

This will be India's third assignment in the current World Test Championship cycle, and its first at home. They had previously won a two-game series in the West Indies 1-0 after drawing the second game, and earlier this year they held hosts South Africa to a 1-1 draw.
